How To Start Tomato Seeds - part 6

Here's how the plants look today. They are easily 3 times as large as they were just a couple of weeks ago. I think they are coming along nicely. Up to this point it's been nothing but water and light. Starting today the plants get diluted fertilizer. Schultz or Miracle -Gro work fine. I just make it more dilute than the instructions. There is no need to give them a ton of fertilizer. Just enough to give a slight feed until they get into the ground in another week or so. If you want to be organic you can skip the fertilizer...the choice is yours and I doubt if it makes a huge difference. I fertilize so the plants are as healty as possible when they are planted.
